One end attaches to the lug on the top side of the camera. The other end
attaches to a lug on the bottom of the PB-E1, PB-E2, BP-E1 or BP-50 (Elan
II/e grip). I don't know of any EOS bodies that actually have the lower lug
on the body, and I don't know if any of the other grips/battery packs have
them either, but those above do.

Also, if you happen to use Tamrac straps with the quick release ends on your
camera, they make a hand strap that uses the same ends. B&H carries both the
Canon and Tamrac versions.
