All I can answer is that the EOS 33 is a 30 without the eye-control.
A plain Elan 7 as opposed to 7e here stateside. It hit the stores
here in September or November, I think. And mine focuses amazingly
fast when the light is right. But I upgraded from an FT/FD series
camera so I can't compare it to other AF systems.
