I agree with you Michael. I was just pointing out that some want the
very shallow DOF that f/4 won't give them.
I use my 100 f/28 macro and get the results I like.
Portraiture, in fact all types of photography, allow individual
expression. One of the nicer aspects of photography for a career or
hobby.
