I kept forgetting to bring a bottle of this stuff to work so I can tell you about it. Moose Peterson has/had a page on his website telling about it. I guess it is used to clean industrial laser lenses and movie camera lenses in Hollywood. There are two kinds, one for glass lenses and one for plastic. The bottle label says: Industrial Optical Cleaner Coated Optics For professional use only " Lens Clens loosens oil film and hard to remove optical contaminants. If skin is sensitive a slight irritation may occur with prolonged contact. Wash hands before and after optical cleaning and us in a ventilated area." They also sell special lens cleaning paper. There is a minimum purchase and I bought a couple bottles and a couple packets of tissue paper. I think it was $3-$5 per bottle plus shipping. The shipping is a little expensive since this is considered a hazardous product, so you may want to get some with your friends. Address and phone: General Production Services, Inc. 883 S. East Street Anaheim, California 92805 Phone: (714) 535-2271 This stuff has worked really well for me. Of course the first thing I do when I receive a new L lens (after calling the insurance company) is to put the protection filter on it. So I guess the only thing I have cleaned is the multi coated filters and it has worked really well.
