If you have IS lenses or use contiuous autofocus (AI
Servo focus mode) it really is a must. An A2 can suck
down a 2CR5 in nothing flat if you're using the thing.
It is very unweildly and klunky design wise. Count on
dropping it at least twice while you're getting used
to it, and expect to have your camera hit the floor
when you forget to take it off your belt when you put
your camera down.
Not an elegant solution... but cheap if you use lotsa
power.
