Me too.

It seems the current BatteryPack-E1 costs about 40% of
PBooster-E2 (without rechargeable batteries). Add the
minimum controls and I'm afraid you are at least at 50%.

If anyone is practical in mechanics and electronics it is
possible to build basic controls in BatteryPack-E1 yourself
I believe.

I feel it should not be any bigger than the current
BatteryPack-E1.
