Hello all, Well, I went to my local shop and installed a new battery for the date back, then ran a 12-exposure roll of el-cheapo film through it in the store and sent it through the minilab machine, and . . . the date imprints like it should. So thanks for those who suggested the battery might be to blame. However, while shooting that test roll, the Command Dial broke! I don't think I have more than 20 rolls though the bugger. It had seemed like it was getting more stiff to turn recently, but since I don't use it all that often, I couldn't be sure. But I'm sure now. So for the moment the camera is off the sales block, while it makes the journey to Horizon for the permanent fix. There's no chance of recouping the cost of that when I do finally sell it, of course, but it should at least help me get a decent price when it goes on eBay. Oh well--I rolled the dice with this camera and now I'm paying the price. Nonetheless, aside from the Command Dial it is a fine camera. fcc * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
