Hi -

I was just looking at the B&H page for the Canon close-up lenses, and
I'm a little confused, although my question just may answer itself.

It says:

>The 250D is suited for lenses with a focal length anywhere from 30 to 135mm. The 500D
>and 500 are geared for lenses with a focal length anywhere from 70 to 300mm.
>

I'm going to get one for use on the 28-135, but only the 500D comes in
the 72mm filter size. I understand that the number is the close
focusing distance in mm? I know people have posted about using the
500D on the 28-135, but does the above statement imply a limitation
when using the 500D on the 28-135?

Thanks.
