Hi Bob,
Henry is right. The EW-78B was a shiny plastic hood that was
discontinued only 2 months after its release! It would reflect
light onto the front element of the 28-135 IS and cause
increased flare!
I could not get rid of mine quickly enough (even before eBay).
It was replaced with the EW-78B II, which has black anti-
reflective rayon flocking.
Ken, make sure you choose the right hood.
