I can't comment on the 80-200 f2.8 L, but both of the Sigma EX
teleconverters
that I own [1.4x & 2x] fit ok onto the following lenses:-
70-200 f2.8 L
100-400 f4.5/5.6 IS L
300 f4.0 L
