Oh gee, all the Outlook bashing. Some precautions are necessary I agree.
I use outlook and have preview pane enabled. I also have active x scripts
off, and a free firewall called Zonalarm that is great for filtering out
these virii. I highly recommend it. I do not use a virus program, cause I
believe life's too short to wait for them to load, etc. I had too many
install errors with them as well. Besides having to download and install the
latest Dat file way too often. Then, shortly after buying something like
McAfee, you have to upgrade to get the DATS. Computers, sheesh, nothing but
problems. I'm an old hand at these machines, I pity the newcomers. Macs are
nice in that they are immune to most of the targeted virii, but I don't like
Macs :-)
I'm not a Microsoft lover, far from it. I don't like Bill Gates either.
But Outlook is a fine email program.
