If you happen to already have a plate or two, it might be worth trying it on the
7/30�FWIW, the C21 plates I had for my now-departed A-1s fit my Elan 7 just
fine, or fine enough to save me $49 for a new plate. :-)
You might be surprised as to what will work�the C21 plate also worked well
enough on the tripod ring of an FD 300/4.

That seems pretty reasonable; the BP300, like the VG-10 on the A2/5, doesn't
clamp on with any great rigidity, unlike (for example), the PB-E2 on the EOS 3.
