As a test I've taken an 800ISO film with me to South-Africa last
December and it was scanned six times without protection. No
fogging whatsoever was visible after processing. This makes me
wonder about the effects of X-rays on film. I will continue my habit
of taking all my film with me in a FilmSafe bag, but I won't worry .

Interesting as I have ticket clerks warn me about the X-Ray and films at 400
asa +. I usually carry a lot of 3200 with me and this is a concern. The
other point is that some operators will crank the machines up to see through
you lead lined bags, that should be a nasty douse.
Will like to hear more of what you find out, I will keep asking for a hand
check.
Cheers Wilber
