EOS D30 and perspective

I know that the D30 magnifies the "power" of lenses by a factor of 1.6, so a
50MM gives an image like an 80MM. I'm wondering if the perspective
compressing is the same as an 80MM or is it the same as a 50MM?

Any comments?
