Yes.
For the same reason that you should remove it for 
in plain daylight: The extra glass is not adding
to optical quality, modern lenses do filter UV 
on their own without the need for extra filters,
the slight warming of a Skylight will be rendered
void by most labs if you shoot negative film.

There is only one point where I would use a 
"protective" filter: When circumstances make
it mandatory to wear eye protection for myself.

On all other occasions a filter "not harm" at best,
or simply ruin your shot. Never use filters if you 
must not.
