I always thought that I'd need a long lens, but I've found that 135mm
is most of the times long enough. Instead of long lens, I've found that
28mm is sometimes not wide enough. So after you've recovered from the 
shock that buying 28-135 IS, you may start to save for EF 20mm. It 
has the same filter size as 28-135 IS, it is wide, it is of
good optical quality. That's what I am saving for right now.
