I can't understand how rally drivers can cope with all the flashes 
they are subjected to *at night* - must completely ruin any night 
vision they had.

Incidentally I've recently come across the actual exposure 
compensation levels the flash applies (if the relevant custom 
function to disable it hasn't been set) when using it under bright 
conditions for fill. I'll post it if anyone's interested.
