There is one other generalization on which I'd like an opinion. Where short
zooms and long zooms overlap, for instance 70mm on your 28-70mm and your
70-200mm, does either the longer or shorter zoom tend to be better (in
addition to sharpness and contrast, at the range extremes we have to deal
with dark corners and distortion). Or is this something about which you
can't make a generalization?
