I recently picked up Hoya's slim multi-coated polarizer to use with this lens
and the EF 24/2.8. While it appears to work well enough, the ring for the
rotating part of the filter assembly is just large enough that the Canon hoods
won't fit over it, so if you want to use the polarizer and the hood at the same
time you must thread the filter on after attaching the hood�fortunately I have
small fingers!
