Henry, Gawaine and Markus - thank you for your answers. I had a look at the "Hood
rant" thread than ran a while ago and then tried to measure the diameter of the lens
barrel. As I exmained the lens closer I found a rubber ring attached to the end of the
barrel. Once I removed this rubber ring, the ET-62 II hood fitted the lens like a
glove. Next time I'll be sure to fiddle around with things a bit longer before turning
to the list :-)
