A few ago, after questioning you folks about option, I came to the conclusion
that there were no telephoto for wildlife/bird options that went beyond my
100-300 f5.6L that were both good quality and inexpensive. So I decided to
bite the bullet and go at least halfway in expense. I bought a Canon 300 f4
used from KEH and a 1.4 TC. This way I get a 300 that is faster than what I
have and a usable 420 f5.6. I could even go to a 600 f8 with manual focus
ultimately and I don't think I will have a need to go longer, at least not in
the near future.

So the lens should be arriving without an instruction sheet. Is there
anything special that I need to know about it other than mount and shoot? I
believe it has full time manual focus...is that correct?
