Alaska is pretty safe.  It's the tourists you have to watch out for ;>
It's hard to bring too much film.  I've gone through dozens of roles in a
few hours trying to get good whale pictures.

I would bring a Haze 2A for photo's in the mountains (even pretty low).
Otherwise you might get blue shaded pictures.
