Hi guys,

I am trying to do some comparison tests between some of the lenses I have
for EOS.

I have
canon 50mm 1.8
canon 70-200 4L
tokina 19-35
tokina 28-80 atx pro
and
canon 28-80 usm V (cheapo one)

I want to test them at regions where they overlap, as well as regions where
they do not. My friend here has
Canon 28-135mm IS f3.5-5.6
Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-4
Sigma 28-70mm f2.8

I know that more then once these lenses were compared to each other. I also
want to compare the relative sharpness of lenses in different focal lenghts
(like the wide angles to the 28-80 lenses), but am not sure if it is really
interesting/relevant.

Anyway, I understand that Iw ill use slide film to not have any printing
issues affect. What slide film will be best? A tripod will be used on a
solid surface. For resolution, i am thinking of a uniform color subject,
like newspaper or something. for color saturation etc, a color subject. Can
you recommend some targets, test methodology, and also a review methodology?
I also have a minolta dual scan for scanning, but am not sure if this will
be a good way to test.

I will, of course, post my results on the web for your enjoyment.
