Good point Julian. I forgot that the hood on these lenses rotates
freely but it just indicates how little I have had to think about
it (thus how small problem it is)...

No, I just found a secondhand ES-65 in "my" shop which is more
a Nikon SLR shop (than Canon SLR). Actually they don't have any
SLRs very much (small shop).
