(I'm not sure what is in this, but if it is designed to dissolve lacquers I'm sure it's nasty.)It did etch the plastic a little bit, it has lost its gloss. In rec.models.scale, some folks are reporting that normal household cleaners like Formula 409, Simple Green, and Pine-Sol will remove paint from plastic models (polystyrene) without damaging the plastic.
