I agree with Neil and also the more filters you put in front of your primary
lens, the better the chance of further image degradation.  While the 28-135
doesn't seem to vignette at 28mms when I've got two filters on, I try not to
do that because of the image quality issue, and also because I don't like to
spend an extra hour trying to get the darn filers unstuck from one
another!!!
