It depends entirely on what you want to do. The Elan is a little
quieter (thank you, Lisa Horton!) has more AF sensors arranged
vertically and horizontally, and has a more advanced flash system than
the A2, and the command dial probably won't break. The A2 is still
pretty quiet, slightly faster film advance, and has true spot metering.
For what I do, spot metering is essential, and I seldom use flash, so I
bought the A2. If you don't need the spot meter, and use flash, the
Elan7 may be the better choice.
