Popular Photography always had little stories on
Marty's exploits modifying cameras for all kinds of
unusual duties, mostly for National Geographic
magazine... when my interest in photography was just
blooming in jr. high school, it was fund to read about
all of the clever things a good optical
machinist/tinkerer could do with what came from Canon
and Nikon.
Is anyone doing the same sort of things now? In this
era of electronics, digital and video I imagine a
creative, intelligent person could do even more!
Someone needs to step into Marty's shoes, lest this
become a mass-produced world.
