Hi all,
Just thought I'd introduce mysef. My name is Christopher Bruno.
I've had an EOS XS for 5 years and have just purchased (hasn't even
arrived yet) an EOS 3.
I guess I'd consider myself an advanced amateur photographer. I enjoy the
technical aspects of photography despite needing some help with the artistic
aspects. (I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, so I suppose this is not
surprising). I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the list.
My first question is what the latest firmware revision is for the EOS 3 and
how will I tell which one I have when it arrives? I bought it used at 1 yr.
old and I'm most interested to know that it has the exposure issues
straightened out.
Also, I've read that CF-18, which was added with a more recent firmware
revision, is used with IS lenses. Is this something I'd need with the
28-135? Thanks for your help!

(the racetrack was the primary reason I opted for the 3 due to its focusing
abilities)
