Should there be visible evidence that the AF assist is working on the 550EX
in low light ( a light on the unit or a beam striking the subject or
something?) I am using an EOS3 and am within effective AF assist range but
my camera will not focus in low light ( low as in predawn light low)
Also the manual for the 550EX says that CF-6 turn the modelling flash on and
off but I have seen other websites that describe CF-6 as turning on/off the
AF assist. Does anyone know the true function(s) that CF-6 performs?
