Personally, I am waiting for you to hold your breath, since blue's your 
colour. :-)

C'mon -- let's say the GOSSIP is true (although why any sentient being 
would believe ANYTHING on the internet is another mystery). Canon would 
announce the lens to the press at some noteworthy event. The next one 
coming is the PPofA Convention in Chicago this month, but as it's primarily 
a wedding/portrait crowd, it's not the best spot for new product launches. 
The next after that is VisComm (or PhotoEast) in NYC on Halloween weekend.

So, let's say the announcement is keyed to a late-October event. Based on 
what we ALL have learned. when do you expect retailers to have them to 
sell? When the tulips are up? Independence Day?
