And just wait awhile.  With the intro of the 70-200IS, used non-IS version
prices will surely be coming down.  I have been waiting to buy a 300/2.8L.
A year ago they were about 2800-3000 used.  Now I'm seeing them on ebay a
lot and most are not selling if the bidder is asking much more than $2200.
Bob is right the 2.8 will be much nicer than a 4.
