These are all precisely the same optics, made by
Cosina, in barrels with slightly different design and
cosmetics. (I've seen it rebranded as a Samyang and a
Kalimar lens as well, in different mounts, some manual
focus.) The Vivitar is the best deal, I got one to
knock around on my Rebel G, and it works great on
that. Focus is ponderously slow, but that's OK on a
lens this wide. They do provide a bayonet hood...
while it's not terribly effective, it's better than
nothing.

The only real problems with it are that 1) it will
flare terribly if a bright light source is in the
frame, 2) barrel distortion at the wide end is heavy,
and 3) the front of the lens barrel rotates during
focus, which is irritating if you use polarizers and
grad filters... and you will want to with this lens.

Other than that, it is decently sharp and contrasty
for its low price. If I lost it or it got stolen I'd
buy another in a minute.
