I agree Bill. The trick with their reviews are to ONLY look at the numbers.
The editorials cannot say anything bad about a product. As it goes through
edits before printing each editor alerts the Managing Editor as to potential
problems with content.  But numbers they will not change. Having written for
a magazine (I did equipment reviews for Professional Photographer Magazine)
for 5+ years I can tell you this is fact. The editor will jump on you if you
have something bad to say and ask you to correct it. Case in point, I
reviewed a Contax N1 which I personally found to be a terrible camera. Nice
lenses, bad camera body design. My closing was basically "if you are
considering the Contax N1 it is best to look at an alternative." The actual
print was changed to say that understanding the camera's potential will
require an investment in time.
