Well, I have to say based on the Photodo charts, I stand corrected. It would
appear that at 135mm the Sigma equals the 80-200mm and at 200mm wide open
the Sigma is slightly better. Otherwise the 80-200mm is best. Differences in
any case are 2-3% + or - between any lens at a given focal length. Not very
much.
I will have to say that lack of a tripod collar would bother me and if you
have a Canon 2x as I recall it cannot be used with the 80-200mm because of a
protruding element. Howeverm 3rd party converters will work.
