Hi Steve, I have recently bought the LowePro Mini-Trekker bag too, and I think it's quite good since it's small enough for you to take on board into an aeroplane. If I had bought the bigger backpacks, it may simply be too big and not allowed into the cabin, which would be a problem since I'd never want luggage handlers manhandling my camera equipment. FWIW this bag carries my 70-200mm and my 20-35mm, and my EOS 30 (Elan 7E) with the BP-300 and a Jessop flash unit, and 12 rolls of film without any problems. There's a little bit more room for things like filters, the lens hoods, spare batteries, and other stuff. I did find that the tripod holder not terribly useful since my tripod isn't all that big to fill the length of the bag. Not that it really matters, since the tripod will travel inside the suitcase, as it may be classified as a dangerous weapon if carried on board a plane. The cost of the bag was around Aussie $200 which is roughly USD$100.
