Almost certainly. The number of segments is but one
aspect of the metering system. The speed of the cpu
that processes the inputs, the size of the database
compared against, and the metering algorithm will have
a huge impact.
Note that all are intimately related: the faster the
cpu the more complex the algorithm, and the larger the
database, that can be processed within the required
time parameters.
