Hm, and I thought it's just the opposite. At least for active CMOS.
These can drive data down the columns faster then CCDs. It's even
possible to include the electronics in each pixel to read out the
values. Some of the fastest sensors are based on CMOS. 500 fps, 10000
fps, etc. While these are for industrial and science purposes with
lower requirements for color, high SNR, etc. some fast color CMOS with
good image quality also exist.
Anyway, I think it is you who actually is directly involved with CMOS
and CCD sensors, rihgt? So I guess you have better knowledge about
that. Therefore, I would appreciate if you could explain where my miss
conception comes from. I am seriously interested in that.
