Ken, I own this scanner. It's very capable, and a great price considering what else is available in this performance bracket. Just remember to also acquire a stash of air cans, because you'll need to ensure your slides are dustless prior to scanning, or else, you'll be spending a lot of time doing touch-up in PhotoShop. Besides, air is cheap - your time isn't, which I'm sure you'll realize during your first scanning session. Congratulations!
