This afternoon in the main photo shop of my town I have been invited to the
presentation of the new EOS 1D. A camera was available for any of us that
wished to take some pics. I have carried to the event my EOS D30 with a CF
card and so I took some pics, first with the new 1D and after, keeping my CF
card with my D30. The new camera is much more weighty than D30, and has a
feeling much more pro. The booster isn't detachable and the camera has same
sealed buttons that 1V (I've got one last year).

I couldn't test 8 fps but tha camera seems a true pro tool. At home the
pictures on my 17" PC monitor seems, nevertheless, similar. But I fired just
JPG. I'm going to print some of themto check sharpness of both cameras In
the presentation ther were some A2 pictures, from D1, very impressive. But
unless some of my printing outputs will surprise me, a amateur, I do not
think I move from D30. Another thing it's every Canon pro who, in my
opinion, ought to...

Kind regards

Flix

PD. I took some pictures took with a available new 70-200 IS. Nice lens!
