Cleaing agents like detergents perhaps. But windex is predominantly
Ammonia.
This does not cause any harm to coating on lenses or filters. Constant
use of water will eventually cause deterioration. Kodak's own lens
cleaning liquid is ammonia based which is safe for plastic lens elements.
Alcohol will destroy the plastic.
You can use alcohol, acetone, etc. With acetone the paint will come off and

the plastic will ruin but the coatings will not be a problem.
