I've used all the products you mention and they work OK. In my opinion they're better with TTL than with auto flash. Sometimes I've found settings I'm accustomed to won't work in dim light with these products. One thing I really don't like about them is the usual means of attaching them to the flash and the fact that you need to exert special care to keep them on or in line.
I prefer, by far, the Omni-Bounce products. Shoot them straight on and they're like a soft box. Shoot them slightly elevated and they do a combo bounce/straight on light that looks good - so long as the walls and ceiling aren't an extra strong color. Omni-Bounce snaps on the front of many (most?) flashes. Several are made with designs specific to given flashes.
