<Yes, the lens is special. But if you can make use of it,
<there is no alternative and it easily pays off. I have

<EF 1.2/85mm L when the switch to EOS came because of
<my good experiences with the lens.

Thanks indeed Michael

I knew rather well the use and problems of available light lenses as I
actually own, from other brands not Canon, lenses of f1:1 and f1:1,2 but my
main curiosity was the utility of AF as my other speedy lenses are, of
course, MF. I see now clearly after those interesting mails that the Canon
lenses have rather slow AF and most of users do prefer to focus manually. So
I do not move to the Canon 50 mm f1:1. I use these available light lenses
where flash or tripod are not allowed and , by my experience, only a 10% of
shoots are OK but it is better then nothing. BTW where no camera is allowed
I use a Ricoh GR1 loaded with 1600 ASA negative film. You know I'm spanish
and I do hate prohibitions.

Kind regards

Flix
