In http://www.usa.canon.com/EOS-1D/faqs.html I read: Q: What is the EOS-1D's operating temperature range? A: The maximum temperature is 45C /113F(85% humidity) while the minimum temperature is 0C/32F, due to temperature limitations in CF cards. When using a CFcard, please avoid allowing the camera to reach temperatures below 0C/32F. This was new to me. Does this then apply to every digital camera or at least every digicam that uses CFs? What about a microdrive? This minimum temperature limits the usefullness of digicams quite a lot. A pro SLR must be useable to -20C when shooting winter sports. -- Pawel Nabe Business: +49 / 30 / 245 54 920 PaN Super Sonic Software Service Private: +49 / 30 / 447 33 452 expert for hi tech & low budget Mobile: +49 / 171 / 267 54 63 * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
