My wife has a 10s, and loves it. The only thing
I think it's lacking is a spot meter, which she
doesn't miss. You might find its 3 focus points
a little limiting after the 7's seven. So far
we've found it very reliable, we've only had it
since summer, since we, too, bought it used. The
reason we did is that it doesn't use an infrared
sensor as a frame counter, and my wife shoots A
LOT of infrared film, which is slightly fogged
by her Elan II, as it would your 7.
I think of it as more of the predecessor of the
A2 rather than the Elan, it has more custom
functions, for instance, and a bar code reading
option that some find really cool, but I found
incomprehensible...
