The 50/1.4 has very solid construction, and offers full-time manual focus. It also costs 4 times more than the 50/1.8 II. The original 50/1.8 has a distance scale, a groove for a clip-on hood, and a metal mount. The 50/1.8 II lacks a distance scale and has a plastic mount. A separate attachment is required to use a hood with the 50/1.8 II. If you plan to use manual focus, then skip the 50/1.8 II. -- John Chennavasin | This article contains material which may inform and [EMAIL PROTECTED] | may be quoted, printed, forwarded, or redistributed www.fobpro.com | as long as the original attribution remains intact. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
