No, you cannot fire other EOS flashes (550EX or otherwise) with the 380EX. The only EOS flashes that have wireless capability are the 550EX and 420EX. Only the 550EX can act as a master and fire other slaves. It must be connected to the camera directly or via the OSC2. Not sure of the function with the TTL cords. I assume that wireless fuction is lost with the TTL cords, but again, I'm not sure.
