I have a description of my experience with the Kenko extension tubes

Most of the time I use them with the 28-135IS.  If I'm not using a
tripod, which I really should be, the image stabilization helps by
allowing me to close the aperture down a few more steps.  I almost
always manually focus.  Here are a couple of hand-held closeups taken
