It works as you would expect. At the end of the bulb exposure, the flash will go off **and** in the case of E-TTL flash, it will go off with the exposure settings read by the pre-flash at the beginning of the exposure. (It's an important thing to remember, specially if things are getting closer or further during the B exposure ) I did some pseudo open-flash shots of things falling in water using this technique with the 50E triggered with the RC-1.
