Good point, but I can't even set the aperture to max with the tube
attached, since it's not reporting any aperture info at all.  With
this in mind, I tried it with my 50/1.8 - first putting the lens on
the camera and setting it to f/1.8 so it would "rememeber" - and then
put the Ex tube in between.  Should certainly work at f/1.8. Still
nothing.  Off to the repair shop.
